Our July meeting had 29 members turn out. Best turnout yet! If you have not come to one of our meetings, you are missing out on some great socializing and bench racing.
We had Micah Rice from the APEX bike race coordinators join us as a guest speaker. He praised our help with the bicycle race for the past 3 years and was very glad we are still working with them to provide marshals on the Capt Jacks trail for their last day of the race, Sunday 10 Sep 2023. We sent out an email soliciting for volunteers, please check your inbox or go to our webpage calendar events to sign up as a volunteer. Be sure to check out our Forum section on our club webpage. Log in to our website and you will see a menu option, FORUMS. Good place to find out where and when club members are riding. Feel free to add your own posts. There are several categories. These posts are for members only, as non-members will not have that menu option if viewing our webpage.
We've enacted a points system for various categories this year to encourage member participation. Here are the current categories:
We are keeping a spreadsheet of all points earners and at the end of the year, we will recognize our top points earners in some method still TBD. We'd like to give out some prizes. Could be worth $$$.
We'd also like you to keep track of any hours you spend in support of the club or club activities, including attending any outside meetings supporting OHV trails. We'll log those as volunteer hours for our 2023 submission to the State.
The T-Shirts are still available for purchase ($25). We have plenty available. Get yours now!
