New Single Track at Penrose Commons

Several groups participated in a work day with the Royal Gorge Field Office at Penrose Commons.  Two of the trails on the West side added 1.4 miles of new single track trail.  Many thanks to the following:

Our apologies if we missed any other groups, but we had a generous turnout of volunteers.

3-Group 2

Here's a map of the new trails on the west side.  The one in the gulch is called "Waterfall" and the one on the mesa is called "Ridge".  The new trails are rather challenging, so make sure your skills are up to par before tackling these new sections.  The RGFO will be updating their maps on their website soon, once the new trail sections are added in.

Sep 2024 New Singletrack 

Another trail in the center part of the Commons was also worked on and added.  It is called the "Warmup Trail".  Although none of our members rode it, it adds another 1 mile on challenging rocky trail to the Commons.  Here's a draft map of the whole system, including the three new single track sections:
