About this event
We will be providing more details at our 14 Aug 2024 club meeting. We'll need several volunteers. Work will be either from the Frosty's Park or St Mary's trail (west or east) sides. TBD.
Vehicles can be driven to either starting location, but work on the trail will require hiking up the trail. We'll be moving rocks, trees (if necessary), shoring up water breaks, and creating more visible lines up either side to reduce the braiding of this trail.
Ultimately, the goal is not to make this trail easy, but to keep its more difficult character while addressing the erosion and widening of the trail in sections where it has become very extreme in nature. The intent is to provide visible "lines" through the tough sections.
The trail was never intended to be the "hard enduro" extreme trail it has become. By improving its rideability, this will add a reasonably challenging (not extreme) 6 mile loop to the Capt Jacks traditional 701/668 loop.
We'll be giving club points to our volunteers for this event, so sign up soon!
