About this event

Get out and Ride!!!

Gather your riding friends and go have some fun on Sunday, 1 October 2023.

Here's our proposed riding loop:

  • Meet with your group and have some breakfast anywhere.  Some good choices are in Old Colorado City, such as Mountain Shadows, Bon Ton, or Sheldons on 8th street and Hwy 24.  Breakfast burritos can be had at La Casita on 8th and Hwy 24, and at Rudy's.  Or simply skip breakfast and do the ride.
  • Meet up with other club members at Rudy's on Hwy 24 and 31st Street at ~0830.
  • Head on up Hwy 24 to Divide.  Ride on past Divide to Twin Rocks Rd.  Take it to Teller 1, and ride on up to Cripple Creek.  Take 67 from there to Victor.  While there, visit Rita the Rock Planter.  Then work your way back to the Springs.
    • For those of you with true Adventure bikes, head back via Phantom Canyon Rd or Gold Camp Rd.  Both are dirt excursions.
    • Those with pure street bikes, head back via Hwy 67 into Divide and on back down to the Springs via Hwy 24.

Scavenger hunt points will be given for photos of:

  1. Any photo of an Aspen field in full glow (1 point)
  2. A photo of you and your friends and their motorcycles (2 points)
  3. Rita the Rock Planter (5 points)

Sign up to earn some club points for doing the ride and getting a photo at each of the scavenger hunt locations.  Email us your photos and we'll post them up to a gallery album on our webpage.

This is a perfect way to get out, ride your motorcycle, and experience some of what Colorado Springs offers in spectacular outdoor scenery.
