Through the State Trails Program the CMTRA obtains grants that are used for trail maintenance. CMTRA works with state and federal agencies to maintain o OHV trails on national and state land in the Pikes Peak and southern Colorado region. Actively working with U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Colorado State Parks, the CMTRA provides trail marking, protection of sensitive areas by barriers/fencing and signing, trail repairing, erosion control, retaining wall/bridge building, information signing, and trash cleanup.
CMTRA and COHVCO have teamed up to provide membership in both CMTRA & COHVCO for only $40 per year.
Here are your membership benifits.
COHVCO works to promote legislation and regulation favorable to OHV recreationists in Colorado. COHVCO has established relationships with federal and state legislators and land managers to enhance OHV opportunities in our state. COHVCO also works closely with local clubs, state and national OHV organizations, as well as other trail and recreational coalitions to promote OHV opportunities and responsible use of our public lands.
About the CMTRA
For over 45 years, cmtra has been active in trail maintenance of Colorado motorcycle trails in the Pikes Peak and Southern Colorado region. We actively work with Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to help maintain multi-use trails and keep these trails open. Also through the State Trails Program we obtain grants that are used toward Colorado motorcycle trail maintenance.
We feel our active involvement is critical to keeping our Colorado motorcycle trails open.
We also do plenty of riding, so please join us!
